PLR Articles Help or Hinderance?
Like many in today’s article business I have heard plenty of the PLR Content craze that has been around for some time. I have even been asked to join in this and have considered it at great lengths.  All though upon researching this out to what I feel is complete and also searching our soul and spirit I have come to some pretty solid opinions about this. I will try to explain my point of view on this subject and leave you to make up your own mind.

First lets look at what are PLR Articles?
PLR Articles (Public Label Rights) Articles are written by someone who then allows others to purchase the right to allow other to use, claim then as their own work and also sell these articles. Basically in a nutshell this is legal plagiarism and there is no other way to put it then by stating the truth.

The true reason why this would be a good idea would be because it would save you time and money by generating fresh content for your site as compared to hiring a freelance writer to help you obtain this. The draw back to hiring out is that good freelance writers are often costly to hire to write original works for your site. When you can count on paying a freelance writer any where from 10-300 dollars per hour to write your original keyword rich content this cost can add up quite fast making this a non feasible route to take.

 The second reason is time. Another truth that PLR Article sellers will not want you to know is that it takes far longer then 30 minutes to write an excellent or even moderately good keyword rich article. 400 words can take up to a day most times.

By utilizing PLR articles this can save you both time and money and you can generate articles in around 10 - 30 mins by simply re wording them. The main reasons they convince you to buy PLR articles is this is a way to get fresh content to your sites quickly and cheaply.

Here is where the quandary comes into play. Are they actually your articles? - Are they truly helping you to deliver fresh content to your web site that will not get your penalized for having duplicate content? - Or are they allowing you to simply provide legal plagiarized material and helping to get your site knocked out of the race?

If you are lazy and only use the article by running it through some content spinner or content generator (new name for spinner) then the answer if yes they will hurt your site both in the short and long term with search engine standings.

However if you put some work into rewriting the article, which is going to take you far longer then 30 mins and if you are willing to do it your self or hire out for this, then it will help your site standings and raise your hits.

While I understand that it is impossible for a web master to wear every possible hat that is available and though I understand that PLR articles are the way to help out with the content hat while you work on what you know best running the site or servers, I cannot stress enough that you need to be PICKY and you need to be CAREFUL when using PLR articles for your sites content.

You need to either spend some money / time to find someone who has a proven track record of providing key word rich articles to niche sites, or you need to re write them your self to reflect both your niche and sites audience.

Do I myself as an author and web master/developer use PLR articles for content? No I do not. I choose to go with out fresh content or hire out from a trusted source to get that job done for me when I am not able to squeeze out the time to sit down and write the article myself.

Articles are basically opinions hopefully most times backed up with tangible facts. Every one has them - but not every one can express them well enough to publish.

I will write more on this topic in the future but if you are in doubt of where I stand on this PLR Article Craze then let me make it clear in modest terms. If you do the work or of you spend the money to hire a reputable company to do the work for you then you cannot go wrong by adding this type of fresh content to your site. If however you are going to buy into the get search engine pulls fast hype by simply spinning their articles and reselling this to others then NO I do not.

One good comparison for this craze is this:
Gossip chain...If you never played it here is how it works. You get several people together and one person is chosen to start. They whisper a saying into the next persons ear who in turn whispers this (supposedly same) saying into the next persons ear so on and so forth on down the line until it reaches the last person. The last person then repeats what they were told out loud for every one to hear.

Normally when it gets to the last person in line it is completely different then it was when the original person first whispered it into the ear. So eventually you will get fresh content after so many hundreds of passing the PLR article around and so many people being lazy and just spinning them
but the question you should be asking yourself is WHY WAIT?

If you have any doubts this is true try to google some made up article titles and see how many sites have similar content. This may shock you and I hope open your eyes to why it is important to either get your hands dirty by writing them yourself or by opening up your pocket book and hire someone else to do it for you.

Either way you can rest assured that your site will not be blocked or knocked down by the plr article filters that search engines have been putting into place as a means to try and weed out the problem of repeat content. The choice is yours,
